These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By using our website or hiring us for property renovation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Scope of Services

Modern Vantage provides home and property renovation services including (but not limited to) painting, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general improvements. Specific services will be agreed upon in writing through a formal quote or contract.

2. Quotations and Payments

  • All quotes are valid for  14 days from the date of issue.

  • A deposit of 50% is required before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Final payment is due upon completion of the project.

  • Payments not made within  7 days of completion may incur interest or service suspension.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule a booked project by giving at least 48 hours notice.

  • Late cancellations may result in a charge to recover any costs already incurred.

4. Workmanship Guarantee

We stan 6-month workmanship guarantee on all services unless otherwise specified. This guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage due to misuse, abuse, or external events (e.g. floods, fire).

  • Materials not supplied by Modern Vantage.

  • Normal wear and tear.

5. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate project information and access to the property.

  • Clear work areas of furniture, valuables, and personal items unless prior arrangements are made.

  • Ensure timely payment and communication throughout the project.

6. Limitation of Liability

Modern Vantage is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or website. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

7. Privacy

We collect and process personal information in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our Privacy Policy for more information.

9. Third-Party Services

We may refer or contract third-party service providers (e.g., electricians, plumbers). While we strive to work with trusted professionals, we are not responsible for the conduct or outcomes of third-party work unless explicitly stated in writing.

10. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site or systems.

  • Disrupt or harm the website’s functionality.

  • Use our site to distribute malware or spam.

11. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.” Continued use of our website or services implies acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be resolved in the relevant courts of South Africa.
